Apple tree coming along

Our very young apple tree has offered its very first fruit,

It's only an inch across, but what a feeling to see our tree's first fruit!

We didn't have any fruit trees on our land when we moved in, so planted this apple tree last year. The slender sapling braved winter, then started growing like mad once spring set it.

For homesteading purposes this is crucial, since apples are food that most of us will eat.
