First steps into autumn

It's September, and the temperatures have started their downward, serial plunge. Down around 50 F last night. Leaves have started to turn, just barely, and already some pattern the ground.

We harvested some potatoes from the new plot, picking on the weaker plants. There's a whole row which didn't do so well, after initially flourishing. So we picked 20 or so out of the earth.

So satisfying to harvest these, pawing through dirt to discover each one.
