Greetings from mid-September. The homestead is hip-deep in autumn. Some highlights:
Temperatures are falling. In the 50s F during the day, now; down to 40 at night.
We turned one big compost pile, to get it rotting into spring:

Chickens continue to grow. A bunch of the meat birds are huge, and awaiting destiny shortly.
And our local, excellent contractor built us a new front door plus porch:

It certainly is. The porch is darned strong, and the overhang looks bold.
