Some July harvest

Ceredwyn holds up a couple of hard-won greens, broccoli and pepper:


That broccoli is delightful, surfacing in the midst of these riotous plants:
These are boisterous greens, muscling out all competition, crowding out weeds and lesser plants. The row looks like an oblong block of leaves.

In contract, each green pepper plant stands in isolation from the others. They are frail sentinels, delicate leaves and tendrils working furiously to hold aloft a single firm fruit.


This is the biggest success we've had with these two greens on our land. A long, single row of each this year means we're planning on much more in 2011.
