What should this blog be about?

What should we be covering in this blog?

Ceredwyn and Bryan started up this blog back in March 2008, to write about our homesteading practice with an eye towards the global transition into peak oil. We've fallen silent for too long, want to return to posting, and are looking for feedback.

Bryan Twittered about this feedback call, and received some good tweets back. Cindy Jennings suggested images and one model for comparison.

Wendy Farmer also offered several good thoughts, focused on everyday family life (1, 2):

These sound good. They appeal to our media and practical instincts.

Bryan's Gothic blog, Infocult, just had a meta-discussion. Some commentators called for more posts about homesteading.

So what would you like us to write about, here?

Bread. Food. Growing and raising things and creatures, the practical and metaphysical aspects thereof. Also beer.

I have to agree with Wendy. The practical, day-to-day stuff would be great. To me, it is important to let people see that there are alternatives. The more nuts-and-bolts this is, the better!

Many thanks, Ed and Nancy. We'll post accordingly.
