Some measure of peas

Our pea patch has been mixed this year. Unusually high heat over the past few months, while good for some crops, has been bad for these cool-loving plants.  But a few have podded, long after the April planting.

What should we do next year?  Either

a) summer 2013 is as hot as this year, so we plant them in a shady spot.

b) " " goes back to normal, so we risk it and use the same location as this year.
