Here's a glimpse of how we store winter fuel: the long woodpile,

Gwynneth has done hard work, helping assemble this.  That's some of the wood seen last week.

Over the next six months, this long stack will gradually dry as summer's humidity gives way to dry autumn.  Winter will dry it out still further, and cover the whole thing with snow.
