One thing which struck me was the hedges piece, from feeding the greens to animals (which we already do) to growing berries. I wonder how much that can be applied to Vermont, or translated.
Another is the idea of forest gardens, multileveled functions. I wonder how much of this we can adapt here.
I wonder which plants we need to plant up here, aimed at blocking pests.
